We want you to have the best experience when you apply for a role at Montane so here is an overview on what you can expect from our hiring process.

When you apply for a role with us it is a 2 way process. We need to be the right fit for you just as much as you do for us.

Depending on how near to the application deadline you apply, the hiring process can take between 2-6 weeks, it can sometimes take a bit longer for our more popular roles.

Due to the high volume of applications that we receive, it is not always possible for us to respond to every application, if you have been successful in the application shortlisting process you will normally hear from us within 10 days of the closing date.

First Conversation

You will have an initial 15 – 30 minute conversation usually via phone call with either a recruitment team member or the hiring manager for the role. During this conversation you will learn more about the role and how we do things at Montane and we will find out more about what you would bring to the role, this will help us to decide if we will progress your application to the interview stage.

Interview

You will have an interview with the hiring manager which will focus on understanding your skills, experience and approach to your work. You can also ask them any questions that you have about the role, the team, or working at Montane.

Task Brief

If you reach the final stage of the hiring process, depending on the level of the role, it is likely that you will be asked to complete a task brief that relates to the role that you have applied for and will help you to demonstrate to us how you would approach a real situation or project that you might face in your new role.

Outcome

We will take time to consider each candidate and their performance at each stage of the interview process. The number of candidates and dates we are interviewing for the role will determine how quickly we are able to make a final decision. We appreciate the work that our candidates put into the interview process and it is vital that we make the right decision. We will provide interview candidates with feedback, no matter what the outcome. Everyone has their own preference for how they want to hear their feedback. We will ask you during your interview if you would prefer to receive your feedback via email or phone call.

Preparing for your interview? We want you to be yourself.

It is important in the interview that you're prepared and feel comfortable. Make sure you're clear you understand the role you are applying for and what is expected at each stage. If you have any questions, or require any additional support during the process you can reach out to your hiring manager.
