The first runner over the line, Anna Troup reached the Border Hotel in Kirk Yetholm with a staggering time of 84:56:37 reclaiming her spot as the Montane Summer Spine Race champion. 

The non-stop 268 mile race takes place along Britain's iconic Pennine Way. Anna is no stranger to its challenges, staying calm throughout, drawing on her past experience and running her own race.  Battling hot days that gave way to chilling nights, Anna pushed through everything the Pennine Way could throw at her. 

As the race went on, and others ahead of her slowed, she took the opportunity to move past them eventually catching up with Jon Shield, who had the lead in the early stages of the race. Anna continued with Jon until the Alston check point and then carried on maintaining the lead until the finish.
